The History of Grace Bible Church

In the late 90's, several families from Palestine began meeting in the living room of Dr. Dan Gold, an eye surgeon in the city. After diligent Bible study and prayer, we formally united as a church on December 23, 1999.

Our purpose was to establish a different kind of Christian community in the city. We desired one that would hold strongly to the biblically-based truths of the faith, maintain a high level of commitment to the Lord and to one another, yet reach out to those who know little to nothing about the Lord's grace.

Today Grace Bible Church consists of several dozen families. We enjoy a clear Bible teaching on Sunday mornings and in smaller groups throughout the week. We also support a vibrant youth ministry, children's program, and various outreach programs and events in the city. That's our history. We would love to welcome you to be a part of our future.

The church was officially Grace Bible Church of Palestine, Texas on December 23, 1999. (Articles of Incorporation were filed on that date). Our Statement of Faith is unique to this church and is wholly Bible based. The logo of the church was designed by member Megan Hinson.

We have completed Phase 1 of our building project and began holding services at our new location, 1390 Gardner Road, on October 18, 2009. The church offices were moved to our new location on November 1, 2009.
